TUNE IN

Berlin Techno City? True! ...But PROFIT is battling against the odds to push a new Berlin flavour by hooking up with some original soldiers of Reggae/Bashment culture. With their debut EP which carries cutting-edge beats combined with a powerful calibre of vocalists including London soundboy legend MC Navigator, Warrior Queen and living legend Lee Scratch Perry, PROFIT are ready to blast this new sound into orbit.

ABOUT PROFIT

With their new project PROFIT, the Berlin based producer-duo Martin Hewing and Florian Achatzy are opening the next chapter of their story, consciously ignoring boundaries of musical genres.

With their Drum & Bass formation Dub Tao, they've dropped countless releases on international labels. Knowledge Magazine had a point writing: "These Berlin whizz kids are going from strength to strength", since their records are constantly being caned by DJ superstars such as LTJ Bukem, Fabio & Jazzanova.

As a Live-Act and also as DJs they have been lighting up dancefloors and airwaves globally, whether it be in Berlin's renowned club Watergate, the WMF or at the Love Parade in Mexico City in front of a staggering backdrop. And now it seems like PROFIT's time has come, as Mad Decent have been heavily supporting their MC Navigator feature "Whine Gyal‟, the Fusion Festival were the early birds to recognize their live potential, booking them straight for 2011 and Shy FX‟s Digital Soundboy camp sent out their pick of the bunch Benny Page to remix PROFIT‟s Lee Scratch Perry feature "Two Edged Sword‟.

Live they create a soundclash of electro, dubstep and vintage reggae hosted by a MC. Besides their own tunes and the hottest releases of all bass music genres, the Yeah Yeah Yeah's 'Heads Will Roll' appears just as tunes by Moderat, Ada, Santigold and the Gladiators. PROFIT mash it all up in their unique style while MC legend Navigator goes off on the mic- that surely makes the right recipe to smash any dance!
